How many hours have I played Fortnite?

The short answer comes from Epic itself: there is no way to see your total Fortnite hours across all platforms. Every place you play keeps its own clock. You can still get close, as long as you know what each number counts.

On PC: the Epic Games Launcher

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
  2. Click Library.
  3. Switch from tiles to the list view.
  4. Find Fortnite. The time played column shows your hours.

That is the time the launcher recorded for playing on PC, not your time on a console or a phone.

On PlayStation and Xbox

On a console, Fortnite is clocked like any other game. On a PS5 it is in Profile, Games. On Xbox it is in the game's Stats, under Time played. Epic notes that Fortnite itself does not track playtime, so on a console the number comes from the console. See PS5 and PS4 playtime and Xbox hours played.

In the game: the Career tab

Fortnite's own Career tab, under Leaderboard, shows Victory Royales, top 10 and top 25 finishes, matches played and eliminations, filtered by mode, party size and season. It does not show playtime.

The public stats: match time across every platform

The stats Epic makes public for an account include the minutes spent in Battle Royale matches, counted across every platform on that Epic account. That is the closest thing to a cross platform number, with two limits worth knowing:

  • It counts time in matches, not time in the lobby, the item shop or menus.
  • It comes from the Battle Royale stats, so time in other Fortnite experiences, such as LEGO Fortnite or Fortnite Festival, is not in it.

So it will always be lower than your launcher or console time, and that is expected.

Make your stats public

Stats sites can only read your Fortnite numbers if you allow it. In Fortnite, open Settings, go to Account and Privacy, scroll to Gameplay Privacy and turn on Public Game Stats. You can turn it off again at any time.

Doing it here

Link your Epic display name. Your Fortnite stats then show the numbers Epic publishes: playtime in matches, wins, eliminations, K/D and matches played. You can also look up any public account on the Fortnite hub without an account.
